Legacy Carve Studio began in a small Connecticut barn with a simple belief: the best gifts are the ones that outlast the moment and tell a story. Our founder, William L. Doheny IV, discovered woodworking during his years as a youth. What started as a passion alongside studies and substitute teaching grew into a full-time craft and business dedicated to making custom woodwork that clients treasure for years.
Using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and precision CNC carving, we transform hardwood and epoxy into bespoke pieces that capture the spirit of milestones and memories. Every plank, color, and finish is selected with care, and every design is executed with your story in mind.

Meet the Founder
William L. Doheny IV is the founder of Legacy Carve Studio. At 25, he is graduating in the Spring of 2026 from Southern Connecticut State University with a degree in Business Management and Finance. While in school, he worked part-time as a substitute teacher while building Legacy Carve Studio. As an Eagle Scout, he brings a foundation of discipline, craftsmanship, and attention to detail into every piece he creates.
